Gentlemen it's not often we as customers receive services or products that are above and beyond our expectations in this day and age. I am taking the time to say thank you to David Krien of Coyote Jake's Inc. and Jared Douthit and his lovely wife Candi owner of the Corner Post Hunting Lodge.
I first had the opportunity to use David's product in August 2003, it was our first experience at shooting prairie dogs for both myself and my brother-in-law Mike Greeno of Wichita, Kansas. We had scheduled a two day shoot with owner, outfitter and guide Jared Douthit of The Corner Post Hunting Lodge located in St. Fancis, Kansas. Shooting prairie dogs would be a completely new experience for both of us. We didn't know what to expect, what we found was a highly motivated personable young man who with the help of his wife, converted a old farm house into a fully equipped hunting lodge. We found Jared to be knowledgeable, helpful and dedicated to providing his customers with quality hunts for deer, pheasant and varmints. On this hunt Jared provide great shooting opportunities at plenty of dogs at various ranges, helpful instruction and top notch equipment. He provided us use of Coyote Jake's products, both the Ultra Shooting Bench and the Shoot'n Buddy Gun Rest. We had such a great time we scheduled two more trips in 2004 and ask a couple of our hunting buddies from deer camp to join us. The four of us are returning again this June. To Jared whom I'm proud to call my friend I thank for introducing us to a new hunting pastime.
After using Coyote Jake's products my brother-in-law and I thought we needed to purchase a couple of benches and rests for our use at various shooting ranges and deer camp. We contacted David Krien of Coyote Jakes but we wanted some modification made to his gun rest. Now anyone knows changes are time consuming and time is money in production manufacturing. I explained what changes I'd like made and why, David said he thought this could be accomplish by some add-on accessories and asked to give him a little time as his plant was in the process of making some tooling changes. I was pleased to find someone open to my request, stating I would like the rest before our June trip to Kansas. So Santa brought both Mike and I new Ultra Shoot'nBenches for Christmas and I received the modified Shoot'n Buddy gun rest this April. The changes were just what I requested and work extremely well. I couldn't be more satisfied with David's products and I'm most thankful for his service.
Resectfully,
Rick Hamilton
Thanks to Coyote Jakes shooting stands and rifle rest I was able to make prairie dog kills as far out as 200 yards with a Savage riffle shooting the new 17 HMR. [confirmed with a range finder] These stands are so easy to set up and take down that we were able to relocate in a matter of just a few minutes. I highly recommend them if you want to have a wonderful time shooting varmints.

Received your shipment of the Ultra Bench Starter Kit and accessories last Wednesday. Everything arrived in perfect shape, and by Friday, I had mounted a folding boat seat from Cabela's and a facsimile of the benchtop outline made up in 1" furniture grade particle board. The rig functioned beautifully in the workroom, rotating 360 degrees in dynamic balance with a heavy varmint rifle and rests on the benchtop. As an afterthought, I surfaced the benchtop with a cutout of inexpensive carpet runner with the non-skid rubber backing mounted side up. It was the perfect compliment to the shooting rest and shot bag support, giving me the ability to sight my varmint rifles with complete stability and not a hint of slippage or uncontrolled movement. Adding a 3/8" bolt with a hollowed-out wooden knob cemented on for a grip to lock the rotating bench into place was the final touch.
On Sunday, my shooting partner and I went out on the plains of eastern Colorado and started working a massive dogtown on a rancher's land. In spite of a variable 5-15 knot breeze, the assembled bench was rock steady, allowing both of us to make staged offset shots at variable angles with a .223, .22-250, and .243s from 50 out to 500 yards. The stability of the bench amazed my friend, who shoots left-handed but was still able to get solid hits at distances that we both found hard to believe. Shooting from a stable rotating bench after years of working with clumsy, unstable tripod mounted rifle pads and tiny camp seats felt like a luxury event.
We both felt that the excellent rotational / dynamic balance and relative simplicity of the bench were the product of a great deal of empirical design and practical experience being distilled down into the starter kit. Having a boat seat in place with thick padding and good back support made a half day of solid shooting (we should have brought twice as much ammo) pass by in effortless comfort. This rig is going to be the perfect compliment to my varminting activities for the remainder of my shooting life -- probably significantly extended because of the ease and physical support it will provide.
My friend accessed your website today and he sounds like he might want to purchase the same type of starter kit.
Many thanks for a creating a great product ! I can hardly wait to get the bench out into the field again.
"Con mucho gusto y enthusiasmo" (or something like that !!)

Dave,
Brilliant!
Shoot'n Buddy II works a real treat. The Team went away for a long weekend of Varmint Shoot'n and we tried the rest out.
Can't speak highly enough of it. Just brilliant.
I'll send more pictures of varmint shooting Down Under Style when I can get past the excitement of a new session and find the time to take more photos!!
Cheers,
