"Baltic Birch Custom Table Top"

Dear David,
These pictures are of the prototype table I concocted to fit on the Coyote Jakes Ultra Bench. I think it came out pretty well. It's made of 1" thick Baltic Birch plywood (18 plies). It's far superior plywood than the normal construction stuff you can get at the average lumber yard. I had to drive to Rapid City and get it at a specialty lumber yard that caters to the furniture and cabinet trades. I stained it with one coat of walnut stain and finished it with three coats of satin finish polyurethane varnish.
As you can see, it accommodates a shooting pedestal and rear bag real well and still has room on the "wing" to support a shooter's right elbow. Also, there is plenty of room to the left of the rifle for ammo, binocular, and rangefinder. It can be flipped over for a left-hander, though I did not countersink the holes on the bottom. That would take only a minute or two to accomplish.
